Abdominal Aortic Aneurysms (AAA)
What is an Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm?
An Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm is a localised widening of the main artery (aorta) in your abdomen. A normal aorta is up to 3cm in diameter. An aneurysmatic aorta is an aorta greater than 3cm. They usually cause no symptoms, except when they rupture. I specialise in minimally invasive surgical treatment (EVAR) to prevent an aorta from rupturing and offer consultations about aneurysmatic disease and Ultrasound Surveillance of the aorta.
